12 Best camera phone for photography: (2023 Guide & Reviews)

Last Updated on September 8, 2023 by Sharon Advik

Photography isn’t just limited to digital cameras.

However, long ago, the narrative was set that any best-quality picture required a heavy, professional camera; technological progression nullifies that information.

These days, handy phones are equipped with small but powerful cameras that are not only capable of capturing photos but are featured with AI processors that automatically stimulate the photos if need be.

There would be more precision in the performance of phone cameras shortly with the ability to replace extravagant cameras.

Which is the Best camera phone for photography?

Here are my recommended top 12 Best camera phone for photography:-

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra: (best camera phone for photography)

Photography does need an expensive digital camera that costs too much to be bought when there is an economical stretch.

Therefore, many aspiring photographers start their journey with phone cameras.

Someone asked me about the best camera phone for photography in the latest market.

I could have suggested any phone camera, but I considered the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Being a skilled photographer, I can easily differentiate between the qualities of lenses employed in camera phones.

I have been a massive admirer of the perfect focus of S22 since it allowed me to shoot some fantastic photos of Matanuska Glacier, Alaska; that was the reason for my suggestion.

Brand: Samsung
Main Camera: 108 Megapixel
Selfie Camera: 40 Megapixel
Resolution: 1440*3088
Protection: Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+
Capacity: 128 GB
Technology: GSM, UMTS, LTE, EVDO, 5G
Dimensions: 6.43* 3.07 *0.35 in
Weight: 8.04 Oz
Battery: 5000 mAh
Charging time: Fast 45W charging

Battery, Display:

Around a day of life span is achievable with this battery, even when using the Always-on display mode.

The 45W fast charging takes just 30 minutes to give me 60% of the capacity, and in places like Alaska, battery durability is the most life-saving feature of any electronic gadget.

The 6.8-inch wide display is the brightest I have ever seen, with a 120 Hz refresh rate and HDR10+.

I truly enjoyed taking pictures with a screen that allowed me to see the target scenery or object with 1750 nits of brightness.

Speed processing

Samsung outfits the Qualcomm SM8450 Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and Octa-core CPU and is high-speed in conducting computational tasks.

Whether scrolling down the screen, launching multiple apps, or downloading or uploading content, the devices give it all in a fraction of a second.

I almost did everything during my trip to Alaska on this Phone, and it never made it hard to complete the actions.

The quad-camera setup is based on phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and Optical image stabilization (OIS).

Both specifications work to elevate the picture quality.

Although I have seen these two features in many other camera phones, they work best with quad-camera setups.

The camera’s Wide lens is 108 megapixels; the telephoto and periscope telephoto lenses are 10 MP each, whereas the ultra-wide lens is 12 MP.

Each of the cameras is precise for picture perfection.

I could capture distant frozen lakes with 10x optical zoom pretty quickly, let alone quality, making this camera phone outclass.

Storage, sensor

The available configurations include 128GB, 256GB with 12GB, and 1TB with 12GB RAM.

My device has a 128 GB storage capacity to store my data.

The Phone does not offer an SD card slot, and I don’t need either.

In addition to the traditional accelerometer, Gyro, and proximity sensors, there are Samsung DeX, Samsung wireless DeX, and Ultra-wideband support sensors that come in this device.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is expensive, but it is worth the money due to its faster speed processing, fast charging, and better low-light camera performance.

If someone is willing to spend this much money on on-point pictures, they should go with this best camera phone for photography; otherwise, some less-expensive options are also available.

Google Pixel 7 Pro: (best camera phone for photography)

Most photographs focus on nature photography, but my interest is in the world’s wonders.

I have been to Egypt to witness the vastness of the Nile River and the colossal Pyramids of Egypt.

However, my recent visit to Machu Picchu, Peru.

I couldn’t take my camera to the Andes Mountains because the zoom of one of the lenses needed to be fixed.

Therefore, I had to capture the spellbinding backdrop of the Peruvian Sacred Valley with my Google Pixel 7 Pro.

Although I can’t say I met the picture quality of my professional camera, the shots were too crisp and immensely fantastic.

The camera exceeded my expectations and delivered quality picture presentations.

I often use this best-quality camera for photography as it is my backup device.

Brand: Google
Main Camera: 50 Megapixel
Selfie Camera: 10.8 Megapixel
Resolution: 1440* 3120
Protection: Corning Gorilla Glass Victus
Capacity: 512 GB
Wireless Technology: GSM, UMTS, LTE, EVDO
Dimensions: 6.41* 3.02*0.35 inches
Weight: 7.48 Oz
Battery: Li-Ion 5000 mAh
Charging time: Fast 23W, 50% in 30 Minutes

Battery, Display

The 5000 mAh battery is average in longevity.

I used the Phone for 8 hours during my trip to the Andes Mountains, and the battery muddled my journey.

The 23W fast charging took very little time to get to 100%.

The AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate may decrease the batter timing, so I prefer it with a variable refresh rate turned off.

Speed processing

The Google Tensor G2 and Octa-core CPU are now performing near Qualcomm chipsets, and this is due to upgrades that come in Pixel Pro 7.

The Benchmark tests that I checked before purchasing the set were very satisfying.

The Tensor scored 1060 on the GeekBench 5 single-core test, is closest to Qualcomm’s 1300 scores, and is responsible for the power processing of the 7 Pro.

The 50 MP camera is eating up the iPhone’s camera quality.

I immediately sensed the difference when I took a picture of Machu Picchu in Night Mode with my Pixel 7 Pro and my friend’s iPhone.

Though both the cameras did great, Pixel captured a more transparent night sky behind the wonder, and the sense of detailing was a little more accurate.

The credit goes to Wide cameras’ 25 mm focal length and multi-directional Laser AF, an addition to PDAF and OIS technology that usually comes in camera phones.

Multiple storage options start from 128 GB/8 GB to 512 GB/12 GB RAM, and I use the highest configuration as I am often engaged in multitasking and bulk data storage.

The sensors include fingerprint, Gyro, proximity, and compass sensors, and stereo speakers and Ultra Wideband support are added over the predecessor models.

Google Pixel Pro 7 has exceptional software features that assist in the picture process.

The camera quality is much better than any other phone, as I have seen more expensive ones gibing just 3x optical zoom.

On the other hand, Pixel has 5x optical zoom, which makes it the best camera phone for photography.

Apple iPhone 14 Pro: (best camera phone for photography)

The most challenging click for a photograph is macro.

The camera quality must be cutting-edge to capture the details of objects the naked eye can’t see.

Macro photography is about the macro lens that could be more effective in camera phones.

Still, it might surprise the readers that I never clicked pictures with heavy DSLRs for macrographs.

I have been using an iPhone for photography since the start, and I change my Phone with every latest launch.

The only addition I have been making to my iPhones is an extra macro lens for more close-ups.

However, the Apple iPhone 14 Pro did magic for my macro photography, and I no longer need the different Macro lens.

I can capture some stunning details of objects with the Apple iPhone 14 Pro, which makes it the best camera phone for photography because, as they say, if a camera can pass macro photography tests, it can capture anything.

Brand: Apple
Main Camera: 48 Megapixel
Selfie Camera: 12 Megapixel
Resolution: 1179*2556
Protection: Ceramic shield glass
Capacity: 1 TB
Wireless Technology: GSM, UMTS, LTE, EVDO
Dimensions: 5.81*2.81* 0.31 inches
Weight: 7.27 Oz
Battery: 3200 mAh
Charging time: Fast charging 15W

Battery, Display

The 3200 mAh battery could be a better feature of the iPhone 14 Pro.

I was unable to use it to a much extent with a one-time plugin, although I don’t travel, and this feature only bothers me a little because I always have plugs around, but still, it only gives me 6 hours of longevity.

The Retina XDR display has an 87.0% body ratio, making the content look good.

Speed processing

The iOS 16 employed in this model is upgradable to iOS 16.1. The Apple A16 Bionic chip is the True Pro perfection of the Phone.

Apple certainly leaves behind Androids in the Benchmark testing, which is why I use Apple devices.

I get too irritated by the slow processing, and as I use some additional software, I need a sturdy CPU that I quickly get on my device.

Macro photography becomes exceptional due to the aperture.

The triple camera setup of the iPhone 14 has a 48 MP lens with f/1.8, which is 24 mm in focal length.

The assistant lenses are 12 MP each for telephoto and Ultra-wide.

The aperture of the telephoto lens is f/2.8, and the ultra-wide lens has f/2.2.

Apart from all these fantastic specs that immensely increase the quality of macro photography, I was very impressed by the TOF 3D LiDAR scanner for depth that adds to the photo eminence.

The front camera has 12 MP and comes with an f/1.9 aperture. I have used a selfie camera from time to time, and it does provide excellent photo quality.

There is no extra card for storage, but the built-in capacities seem enough to store whatever I want.

The set I bought has a 1 TB storage capacity and 6 GB RAM; although the RAM is low, I would have preferred that 12 GB RAM still be sufficient for multitasking.

The sensors include SL 3D depth and biometric sensors, an accelerometer, a gyro, Compass, and UWB support.

Apple iPhone 14 Pro has unbelievable camera results that work way better than 12 MP predecessors.

So, if someone plans to buy an iPhone, they should go for a 48 MP triple setup camera because it is the best phone for photography.

The battery is an utter disappointment, but it still can work with the usual daily routine.

Google Pixel 7: (best camera phone for photography)

My niece has always been my biggest photography fan.

She is devoted to knowing more about how to become a photographer.

I adore her, and as she grew, I wanted her to pursue her passion as I did.

She is now in her senior high school and has started making her photography portfolio.

She usually clicks with her Phone and doesn’t have a camera.

When I saw her pictures, I was not very impressed by her Phone’s camera results, so I bought her a new one.

Before moving to a professional device, she needs to learn more skills on a phone camera.

Therefore, I purchased her Google Pixel 7, the best camera phone, as it helps capture photos with various angles and tiny details.

Brand: Google
Primary Camera: 50 Megapixel
Selfie Camera: 10.8 Megapixel
Resolution: 1080*2400
Protection: Corning Gorilla Glass Victus
Capacity: 256 GB
Wireless Technology: GSM, LTE, EVDO, HSPA
Dimensions: 6.13* 2.88*0.34 inches
Weight: 6.95 Oz
Battery: Li-Ion 4355 mAh
Charging time: Fast 20W

Battery, Display

The battery life needed to be suitable for my niece as she spends most of her time in school and can’t always have a power bank, so I bought her a device that gives fast charging and does not drain fast.

Pixel 7, in this regard, works very well as it gets charges to around 50% in just under 30 minutes and keeps up the capacity to 8-10 hours.

The AMOLED display has a 90 Hz refresh rate and 20:9 aspect ratio, making everything look comprehensive and crisp. Also, the 1000 nits of brightness claimed by the brand are nearly accurate.

Speed processing

The Google 7 uses the Android 13 platform and has an Octa-core CPU.

The Google tensor chipset works are snappy in its functions.

The best thing about the Tensor is that it comes with some of the latest picture processing features, such as the Magical Eraser, that enhance the quality of the background by omitting unnecessary objects.

The front camera is 50 MP with f/1.9 aperture and 25 mm focal length.

The other camera in the dual setup has a 12 MP lens with an f/2.2 aperture.

The extra features that blew my mind include Multi-directional PDAF, Laser AF, and OIS.

The back camera also supports dual-LED, pixel-flash, and auto-HDR, which are crucial for built-in cameras.

I made sure that the device I bought for my niece must have a capable selfie camera, as camera phones often fall short here.

Still, in Pixel 7, the 10.8 MP front camera can equally apprehend amazing photos.

There are only two storage options; both may seem lower-end to some users.

The device has 128 GB and 256 GB configurations, and I bought the 256 GB / 8 GB for my niece as I know that teens are often engaged in multitasking and need more room for storage on a single device.

The sensors include fingerprint, accelerometer, Gyro, and proximity.

Google Pixel 7 has a Tensor G2 chop that is more efficient and secure.

The device’s design is very stylish, and the display has some quality features.

Moreover, the Phone’s cameras are remarkable in their work and features like a cinematic blur, Real Tone, and Guided Frame make it the best camera phone for photography.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4: (best camera phone for photography)

The most accessible platform for a photographer to share his work and knowledge is through Internet platforms, especially blogs.

I made my photography blog in 2010, which has become quite a deal.

Besides uploading my work, I write about basics, improvements, and techniques to click a perfect picture.

Recently, I wrote about using camera phones for photography for beginners.

The article focuses on some of the best camera phones for photography that can help kick-start a career without using high-end cameras.

I had shortlisted some of the best smartphones I had evaluated for the article, and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 was at the top of my list.

Due to some unique specification that helps in processing the pictures more accurately, it has its placement among the phones.

I have listed specifications below to help you understand the basics of this camera phone’s utilization for photography.

Brand: Samsung
Main Camera: 50 Megapixel
Selfie Camera: 4 Megapixel
Resolution: 1812*2176
Protection: Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+
Capacity: 512 GB
Wireless Technology: GSM, CDMA, LTE, EVDO
Dimensions: unfolded 155.1*130.1*6.3 mm
Weight: 9.28 Oz
Battery: Li-Ion 4400 mAh
Charging time: Fast 25W, 50% in 30 Minutes

Battery, Display

The battery life of Galaxy Z can keep up the power levels for up to a day, and it gets charged very fast.

Around 60% of the battery charged within 35 minutes, so I ranked its battery 7/10 in my blog.

The Foldable AMOLED 2X display has a 120 Hz refresh rate and around 1200 nits of the company-claimed brightness; however, when I checked the brightness, it fell about 1150, proving the brand claim.

Speed processing

The Qualcomm SM8475 Snapdragon chipset is already breaking its barrier in the industry and giving a breakneck processing speed.

The Z Fold is a potent processor, and it scored 1328 on GeekBench single core and 1240 on the Multicore test that left behind Galaxy Ultra 22.

After testing for a couple of weeks, I have used it, and it is very responsive, even in high-end computing.

The 50 MP came out as a champ in every photography comparison.

I have checked its night mode, and the pictures I took with it were more detailed and managed the blacks of the background much better than a dozen other phones on the market.

I could zoom in on a distant picture to 30x maximum, and the details were still significant.

The only problem I faced was the fuzzier zoom-in photos from the 4 MP front camera, but as a whole, the selfie camera also did great.

The storage is upgradeable to 1 TB, but a 512 GB configuration is also reasonable for storing and shifting data, downloading apps, and multitasking.

The 512 GB also has the same 12 GB RAM as 1 TB storage.

The sensors include typical Samsung DeX, UWB, and fingerprint, gyro range.

After analyzing many devices that claim to be the best camera phone for photography, some need more quality main cameras.

With state-of-the-art processing technology, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 pulls the best photo in every mode.

Moreover, the durability of the Fold Phone is very edgy, and I cannot say enough for the processor as it is one of the show’s highlights, which is visible in the Benchmarks.

Sony Xperia 1 III: (best camera phone for photography)

I am with my clients most of the time, capturing their beautiful moments on tours.

I work with a local travel agency and must be present on every trip our agency hosts to various tourist destinations around America.

I was on one of these trips to Miami when my camera lens broke.

As I was in the middle of the road on a tourist bus, I couldn’t repair my camera, so I needed a replacement.

My Sony Xperia 1 III proved very helpful, as my clients needed to be more insistent about using a professional camera for clicking their photos.

I used Xperia 1 throughout the trip, and the tourists were happy with the picture quality.

Xperia 1 is the best camera phone because it can capture the essence of people and places, almost like a digital camera.

Brand: Sony
Primary Camera: 12 Megapixel
Selfie Camera: 8 Megapixel
Resolution: 1644*3840
Protection: Corning Gorilla Glass Victus
Capacity: 128 GB
Wireless Technology: GSM, HSPA, LTE
Dimensions: 6.50* 2.80*0.32 inches
Weight: 6.56 Oz
Battery: Li-Ion 4500 mAh
Charging time: Fast

Battery, Display

The long life span is what I needed on my trip to accommodate for the broken camera because I did have any other device to complete the journey, and I was too pleased to realize that even at the end of the 11-hour trip, I still had around 35% of charging.

The display is very sharp because of OLED and 1B colors. It also has a 120 Hz refresh rate and an 84% screen-to-body ratio.

Speed processing

The Qualcomm SM8350 Snapdragon 888 5G chipset and Octa-core CPU are quick in action.

I constantly process extensive data on the device, and even when I multitask, one or two apps are downloaded in the background, but the speed never slows down.

The Adreno 660 GPU complements the visual performance to a large extent.

The triple camera setup has a 12 MP wide lens, and the other two complimentary lenses are also 12 MP.

The aperture differs; however, the wide camera has f/1.7, and the other two have f/2.3 and f/2.2 apertures, respectively.

Even with a 12 MP+6201 camera, I could capture 4.4x zoom, as I have seen some 48 MP cameras that can only pull 3x zoom.

The selfie camera is also a sound installation with an 8 MP lens and f/2.0 aperture.

The results impressed my clients, and the credit goes to dual-pixel PDAF, OIS, and eye-tracking specs.

It is one of those phones that come with a MicroSDXC slot.

Therefore, it helped me a lot in sorting client data on the trip, as I needed more than the 256 GB configuration of my device to hold the data.

However, 512 GB is also available for more spaced options.

The sensors include fingerprint, a color spectrum that helps me make the Miami trip photos incredible, and gyro sensors.

Sony is also equipped with Native Sony Alpha camera support.

Sony Xperia 1 III is the best camera phone for photography.

It is a good backup for a professional camera due to its intelligent photo processors, best battery life, and stable processing speed.

Xperia would not limit the latest photography needs and is highly recommended for photographers needing a backup device.

OnePlus 10 Pro: (best camera phone for photography)

Auroras are fascinating.

The sky changed colors on cold winter nights, and witnessing the beauty of green and sometimes blue, purple waves at the earth’s magnetic poles was one of my dreams.

I decided to visit the northern areas of Greenland to see the aurora borealis.

I wanted to take some breathtaking photos of the charming scenery, but I hate to take my camera when I’m just trying to relax.

Therefore, I took pictures of Auroras with my OnePlus 10 Pro.

I wasn’t anticipating such exactitude in the picture, but the camera did an outstanding job.

It could focus on the changing and wavering light and pick up the organic color and shimmer of the aurora.

I mean, only the best camera for photography can do this, as capturing Auroras is arduous.

Brand: OnePlus
Primary Camera: 48 Megapixel
Selfie Camera: 32 Megapixel
Resolution: 1440*3216
Protection: Corning Gorilla Glass Victus
Capacity: 128 GB
Technology: GSM, UMTS, LTE, EVDO, 5G
Dimensions: 6.42* 2.91*0.34 inches
Weight: 7.09 Oz
Battery: Li-Po 5000 mAh
Charging time: Fast 80W charging

Battery, Display

The battery quickly got me through 72 hours when I wandered in Greenland’s northern areas.

I also got a quick charge from a 30-minute stay at a motel.

The 6.7-inch display has a very bright screen that gives an edge view when I am clicking photos in sunlight as the screen does not get blurry to deter the camera screen.

Speed processing

The Qualcomm SM8450 Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and Octa-core processor are long-term companions in providing reasonable processing speed.

The capability of the Chipset for heavy tasks is incredible.

Although I have seen more instantaneous processors, this one still has a constant grasp on managing the data on the device.

The Snapdragon chip also scored well on the GeekBench 5 and scored 3482, leaving behind some of the more expensive contenders.

The most important highlight of 10 Pro’s camera setup is that it has two high-megapixel cameras that I have rarely seen in other devices.

The primary camera is 48 MP with an f/1.8 aperture and 23 mm focal length.

The Ultra-wide camera is 50 MP with a 14 mm focal length and f/2.2 aperture, and the telephoto camera is 8 MP with a 77mm focal length and f/2.4 aperture.

Moreover, the multi-directional PDAF and Hasselblad color calibration made capturing enhanced views of aurora borealis easier.

The 32 MP Selfie camera is also equipped with auto-HDR and delivered some excellent selfies during my trip.

Storage, sensor

My Phone has 128 GB of storage, which was enough to compose all the pictures and other data I collected during my stay in Greenland, as I did have an extra hard drive as a backup.

Although 256 GB and 512 GB configurations also exist, 128 would suffice.

The color spectrum sensor is deemed helpful in color stabilization.

This device’s other sensors include a fingerprint, accelerometer, Gyro, and barometer.

OnePlus 10 Pro is one of the devices that has noteworthy picture processing features, making it the best camera phone for photography.

Moreover, long-lasting battery life, efficient processing, and delightful design are some of the advantages of the device.

It could have been more spectacular if the telephoto camera had more than 8 MP, and that’s the only disadvantage I see in the Phone.

Apple iPhone 14: (best camera phone for photography)

Wedding photography peaked last month, and a friend was also tying the knot.

He requested me to cover his wedding, and I was pleased to do the work, but unfortunately, I had another booking on the same day.

Although I always keep two cameras in my photo studio, one was outdated and couldn’t give satisfactory results, so I covered the events with a single camera for two months.

Therefore, I decided to give the primary camera to my assistant and appointed him for the other wedding when I set off to attend my friend’s wedding.

I decided to take pictures with my newly bought Apple iPhone 14, which delivered spectacular views.

I was able to take photos from a variety of angles.

I didn’t have to edit, as the camera managed precise color saturation and smoothness to the skin tone and background.

I was genuinely grateful for the experience this best camera phone for photography gave me, and everyone loved it when I uploaded the pictures on my official page.

Brand: Apple
Primary Camera: 12 Megapixel
Selfie Camera: 12 Megapixel
Resolution: 1170*2530
Protection: Ceramic shield Glass
Capacity: 512 GB
Technology: GSM, UMTS, LTE, EVDO, 5G
Dimension: 5.78*2.81*0.31 inches
Weight: 6.07 Oz
Battery: Li-Ion 3279 mAh
Charging time: 12.8Wh fast charging

Battery, Display

The battery life of the iPhone 14 is modest, and it can cover one or two wedding events by delivering 9-10 hours of endurance.

The battery gets charged to 50% in just 30 minutes, and it’s the best offering for me as I am always in haste.

The Super Retina XDR OLED display is sharp, showing exact scene visualization while clicking the picture.

Speed processing

Apple’s A15 Bionic Chip and a Hexa-core processor have a breakneck processing speed.

It is around 10% faster than similarly priced Android phones.

I have compared some of the GeekBench results of the devices, and the Bionic Chip was far ahead of the others by scoring around 4553 on the Multicore test, which is more reason to buy this Phone for demanding routine usage.

Although it has a dual camera setup, its remarkable performance is still credited to the processing units, which stay pretty similar throughout the iPhone with a few changes.

Both primary and ultra-wide cameras are 12 MP lenses, but the wide camera has f/1.5 aperture f/1.5 aperture and 23 mm focal length, whereas the ultra-wide has an f/2.4 aperture and 13 mm focal length.

The sensor-shift OIS and dual-pixel PDAF also back up the cameras to bring out the best details in the images.

I was able to capture brighter images in ultra-wide and even night modes.

The selfies I took with my friend also turned out to be crisp with a 12 MP front camera.

Storage, sensor

My configuration is 512 GB; the storage is NVMe-based, the fastest available.

It allows me to transfer every event’s data to a hard drive in a fraction of a minute.

A lower-end configuration with 128 GB capacity is also available, but it depends on individual needs.

Besides the camera’s sensor-shift OIS and biometric and depth sensors, the Phone is fortified with Face ID, accelerometer, Gyro, and proximity sensors.

Apple iPhone 14 is coming quickly in breaking the barriers that a dual-setup camera may face.

Its 12 MP cameras are fantastic, and the fastest processing makes the working convenient for the users.

The battery life, however, is far lower than Android phones as they can work through 72 hours, but still, that’s what every other iPhone offers.

Google Pixel 7 Pro: (best camera phone for photography)

My brother is a surfer guide and owns a local business on the North Shore of Oahu.

I recently visited him during my vacation as I was so worn out from the usual hectic routine of working at my photo studio.

I wanted to lay on the beach and have some sunlight to relax my spirits.

Although I wasn’t thinking of taking any pictures one day, my brother urged me to click-shoot his photos while surfing.

So I clicked the photos with my Google Pixel 7 Pro, the best camera phone for photography.

I have used it many times before, and its most impressive feature is the light handling.

It is featured with some of the best image processors that keep the lighting from the angle at the main scene but allows the portrait of illumination in the background.

That’s why it is best for outdoor shots on a sunny day.

Brand: Google
Main Camera: 50 Megapixel
Selfie Camera: 10.8 Megapixel
Resolution: 1440* 3120
Protection: Corning Gorilla Glass Victus
Capacity: 128 GB
Wireless Technology: GSM, UMTS, LTE, EVDO
Dimensions: 6.41* 3.02*0.35 inches
Weight: 7.48 Oz
Battery: Li-Ion 5000 mAh
Charging time: Fast 23W, 50% in 30 Minutes

Battery, Display

The battery life of any mobile mostly depends on the refresh rate and always-on display.

If I disable the Variable refresh rate and the always-on display, I can extend the battery life; that’s what I did at the beach to get a 10-hour capacity.

The AMOLED display is bright and sharp, and I never felt it works well with a 120 Hz refresh rate in switching through the apps.

Speed processing

The Google Tensor G2 and Octa-core CPU are very responsive in action processing.

Multiple synchronous operations do not bother the device, even when some functions are highly demanding.

I was very impressed by the 3187 scores of Tensor G2 on the GeekBench multicore test that proved the Phone’s working capability and speed of processing.

The cameras are outstanding at capturing shots, especially those involving moving objects such as surfing.

The wide camera has a 50 MP lens with a 25 mm focal length and f/1.9 aperture, and the telephoto camera has a 48 MP lens with f/3.5 aperture.

These cameras are featured with multi-directional PDAF, Laser AF, and OIS.

The telephoto’s 5x optical zoom gave an edge while capturing distant surfing.

I was also amazed by the selfies I took with my brother and his buddies during our stay with a 12 MP front camera in panorama view.

The configuration availability in the market is plenty, but I have a 128 GB/8 GB storage capacity on my device.

As there is no SD card slot on the Phone, 512 GB/12 GB RAM would be more beneficial for massive files.

The sensors include fingerprint, Gyro, proximity, and compass sensors and feature ultra-wideband support.

Google Pixel 7 Pro has exceptional AI features, such as a Magic Eraser that can unblur photos from the library.

Android cameras are always in limitation, but as far as the Pixel 7 Pro is concerned, it is the best camera phone for photography.

However, telephoto cameras’ battery life and luster color need slight improvement.

Google Pixel 6 Pro: (best camera phone for photography)

Google Pixel 6 pro is the best camera phone for photography, as I have used it for clicking some of the best pictures of flowers.

The plant shop owned by my father is our traditional business.

But as I was more interested in exploration, I chose photography.

However, I help my father in the shop now and then.

We recently updated our bouquet catalog as we make customized bouquets worth giving as a present.

I clicked all the pictures with pixel 6 mainly because I had no time to edit them.

I decided to use a phone camera instead of a professional one, and the photos were exceptional.

Moreover, when I developed the images for the hard copy of the catalog, the Pixel didn’t break, and the picture resolution remained the same as the original.

Brand: Google
Primary Camera: 50 Megapixel
Selfie Camera: 11.1 Megapixel
Resolution: 1440* 3120
Protection: Corning Gorilla Glass Victus
Capacity: 128 GB
Wireless Technology: GSM, CDMA LTE, EVDO
Dimensions: 6.45* 2.98*0.35 inches
Weight: 7.4 Oz
Battery: Li-Ion 5003 mAh
Charging time: Fast 23W charging

Battery, Display

This Phone’s battery is known to be a bit behind other competitors in the market, which needs to be validated.

When making the catalog, I used the Phone throughout the day with one-time charging and still got 30% by the end.

The LPTO AMOLED display is 6.7 inches, which is very wide and vivid.

Speed processing

The Google Tensor is a valuable chip that can knob through anything I throw at it.

The Octa-core CPU has two 2.80 GHz, two 2.25 GHz, and 4 1.80 GHz cores.

Multiple operations get enough footing from the processor’s speed that does not hamper the performance.

Although the Google tensor G2 chip performed better than this one of the GeekBench multicore tests when I checked, I still need to find this phone lagging.

The triple camera has a 50 MP lens with a 25 mm /1.9 aperture for a wide lens.

The telephoto camera has a 48 MP lens with f/5.3 aperture and is incredible at capturing the true essence of colors.

The two cameras are backed up by a 12 MP ultra-wide camera.

I was planning on capturing some pictures in night mode but was afraid to do so at first because I thought the cameras would be able to capture the bright and detailed image, but I was wrong.

The pictures in night mode came out to be terrific, and I added them at the front of the catalog as the colors of the flowers were warm and saturated with a bit of dark background; the white lace on the bouquet looked alluring.

I constantly delete unwanted data or transfer bulk files on an external hard drive.

I only need a little space on my phone, so I chose 128 GB storage. However, higher configurations are also available if more space is required.

The sensors include fingerprint, Gyro, proximity, and compass sensors and feature ultra-wideband support.

Google Pixel 6 Pro is undoubtedly a fantastic device with divine image results, making it the best camera phone for photography.

However, I found the CPU performance reasonable but a little behind other flagships, and the display Fingerprint sensor is fastidious.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra: (best camera phone for photography)

I sell my work as an artist selling his portraits.

I click pictures, frame them, and sell them online.

Sometimes, people like to buy from my collection, which I keep updating over time, and other times, they ask me to click a specific view from a particular angle.

I use phones and digital cameras for my work according to my needs.

I click less demanding shots with a phone camera, but the picture that needs more zoom-in and detailing comes out best with a digital camera.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is the best camera phone for photography because it is outfitted with a Quad camera setup with edgy lenses that give perfect resolution and tone to the picture.

Brand: Samsung
Primary Camera: 108 Megapixel
Selfie Camera: 40 Megapixel
Resolution: 1440* 3200
Protection: Corning Gorilla Glass Victus
Capacity: 512 GB
Wireless Technology: GSM, CDMA, LTE, EVDO
Dimensions: 7.3*3.7*2.6 inches
Weight: 13.4 ounces
Battery: Li-Ion 5000 mAh
Charging time: Fast 25W
Battery, Display
Remarkably long battery life gives around 48 hours of productivity.

I love how I can complete my projects throughout the day, and the battery remains powerful.

One of the things I want to mention is that even when I am working with an always-on display for hours, the battery still works for around 36 hours.

The Dynamic AMOLED 2x display has a 120 Hz refresh rate.

The display is smooth and glossy with about 1500 nits of brightness.

Speed processing

There are two varied platforms that S21 Ultra offers: Exynos and Qualcomm chipsets.

The Octa-core processor also varies in cores for both models.

The configuration I got within the USA has a Snapdragon chipset and Octa-core processor with one 2.9 GHz, three 2.80 GHz, and four 2.2 GHz cores.

I have also evaluated the test comparisons of both chips, and Snapdragon came out best.

As I mentioned above, my work comprises selling my photographs, so the pictures I click have to go through the enlargement process, and the best quality camera is very much needed in this regard.

The rare camera of the S21 that is mainly used for my work has a quad-camera setup with a wide camera with a 108 MP lens, a periscope telephoto, and a telephoto with 10 MP lenses each, and the ultra-wide with a 12 MP lens.

This camera permits me to enlarge a photo in a medium-sized frame, which is a modest offering of a phone camera.

I don’t use the front camera much, but whenever I click a selfie, the 40 MP front camera also gives an edgy image.

The SD card slot is omitted, and the storage capacities range from 128/12 GB to 512/16 GB RAM. I only need 128 GB storage, but I bought 512/16 GB configuration because I needed a little more RAM for efficient multitasking.

The sensors include Bixby natural language command and dictation, Samsung DeX, UWB, gyro fingerprint, and proximity; all the sensors are responsive and not fussy or lagging.

Considering the overall quality of the camera results, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is the best camera phone for photography, especially one that involves enlargement.

Still, I cannot take pictures of challenging visuals due to less optical zoom in and only a 12 MP ultra-wide camera.

Apple iPhone 13 Pro: (best camera phone for photography)

My uncle, a retired Army officer, is now seeking pleasure in exploring the Sahara desert.

He was planning his trip with his retired colleagues and asked me to lend him my camera phone to make videos and photos of the journey.

He had seen some of the clicks I took with the Apple iPhone 13 Pro and was impressed by the outcome.

I have been using 13 Pro for six months and adore every picture I take.

13 Pro is the best camera phone for photography and does not submit to the limitations I often see in other camera phones.

Brand: Google
Primary Camera: 12 Megapixel
Selfie Camera: 12 Megapixel
Resolution: 1170* 2532
Protection: Ceramic glass shield
Capacity: 256 GB
Technology: GSM, CDMA, LTE, EVDO, HSPA
Dimensions: 5.78* 2.82*0.30 inches
Weight: 7.16 Oz
Battery: Li-Ion 3095 mAh
Charging time: Fast 23W fast charging

Battery, Display

I am not satisfied with the battery life as it hardly gets me through 24 hours because my need for phone usage is greater, and I often use the Phone at high brightness levels.

Hence, I suggested to my uncle that he compromise on the brightness for a bit longer battery life.

The charging, however, is high-speed, and I can get the Phone fully charged within an hour, so I also handed over my power bank to my uncle.

Speed processing

Apple chips are never the least of the Benchmarks, and this A15 Bionic Chip does the same.

System launching, data processing, and downloading are fast and smooth.

The Chipset is a powerhouse for accomplishing routine tasks.

The GeekBench scores of the Bionic Chip are around 4687, which is outstanding.

The iPhone 13’s camera setup is a 12 MP system, as every camera has a 12 MP lens, but the aperture and focal length differ.

The wide camera in the triple system has an f/1.5 aperture and 26 mm focal length, the telephoto has an f/2.8 aperture and 77 mm focal length, and the ultra-wide camera has an f/1.8 aperture and 13 mm focal length. My every click becomes a terrific photo with this camera.

None of the iPhones I ever bid SD card slots are mainly employed with NVMe storage, which gives the fastest MBps for storing and transferring data.

Storage capacity is upgradable to 512 GB and 1 TB, but I am content with my 256 GB model.

The devices’ sensors are rapid but even in action, including Face ID, fingerprint, proximity, barometer, and UWB support.

I cannot say that the Apple iPhone 13 Pro camera can leave behind capable DSLRs.

Still, this camera phone can be used without a second thought for novice photography and even more expert photo blogs and Instagram reels.

I utilized this best camera phone for photography, even in my professional photo setup.
